The Trans-Siberian Orchestra East band launched its week in Knoxville, TN, with a spectacular performance at the Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center on Wednesday, November 19. Illuminate Drones successfully delivered the same technically demanding dual indoor drone light show that is defining the 2025 tour.

Segment One: Dozens of Drones for "Dream of Candlelight"

Our first contribution during the show’s second half was for the ballad "Dream of Candlelight." We utilized a fleet of dozens of drones, which flew into formation high above the front of house seating area.

The indoor drone light show created large, unified drone show designs that beautifully complemented the single vocalist on stage. The synchronized fleet of dozens of drones added a sweeping, three-dimensional light element to the Thompson-Boling Arena, highlighting the dramatic arc of the song.

About 25 minutes later, the performance shifted gears for the instrumental "Wish Liszt (Toy Shop Madness)," calling for a high-intensity drone light show.

As two guitarists were elevated on a lift, our dozens of drones performed aggressive, fast-paced maneuvers around the platform. A key technical feature was the execution of flight paths that took the drones underneath the operating lift while the band played. This close-quarters flying integrates the drone light show directly with the core live performance, maximizing the visual payoff for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Knoxville audience.
